Elevated Maru / Deep Madang

Multi-layered plates are overlapped on the site, designed to accommodate various programs within the courtyards. The plates, lifted above the ground, function as platforms that connect space to space and people to people. The expanded width and depth of the courtyards create places that embrace diverse ways of life.

Spaces of Assembly and Overlapping

Based on the traditional spatial concept where light and shadow repeat and overlap, a flowing spatial arrangement is realized, connecting the path, courtyard, plate, and rooms.

Spaces Filled with Light and Breeze

Courtyards are arranged facing the south side of the site to secure abundant sunlight while maintaining visual connections to the outside. Inside the building, multi-level voids are planned to allow natural light to penetrate deeply, facilitating smooth natural ventilation throughout the interior. Additionally, landscaping is introduced on the plates of each floor to compose views at various heights and to organically connect indoor and outdoor spaces.

01_ 높은 마루 / 깊은 마당

대지위에 여러겹의 판을 중첩시키고, 그 안에 다양한 프로그램을 수용하는 마당을 품도록 계획하였다. 지면에서 들여올려져 높이 떠있는 판은 공간과 공간, 사람과 사람을 잇는 마루로 기능하며 확장된 넓이와 깊이의 마당은 다양한 삶의 모습을 담아내는 장소가 된다.

02_ 집합과 중첩의 공간

빛과 그늘이 반복되고 중첩되는 전통적 공간 개념을 바탕으로, 길에서 마당을 거쳐 마루와 방으로 이어지는 흐름 있는 공간 구성을 구현하였다

03_ 빛과 바람이 드나드는 공간

대지의 남측면을 향해 마당을 배치하여 풍부한 일조를 확보하였고, 외부와의 시각적 연결을 열어두었다. 건물 내부에는 다층에 걸친 보이드를 계획하여 자연광이 깊이 들어오도록 하였으며, 이를 통해 실내 전반에 걸쳐 자연환기가 원활하게 이루어지도록 하였다. 또한 각 층의 슬래브 위에 조경을 도입하여 다양한 높이에서의 풍경을 구성하고, 실내외 공간이 유기적으로 연결되도록 하였다
